Marble Care
As marble is a natural product, each piece is unique. No two slabs of stone will ever be the same. It is this uniqueness that makes the product beautiful. While marble is extremely durable, it still requires adequate care. Follow the below instructions to ensure you get the most from your new marble furniture: Only use approved natural stone cleaning product. Marble should be sealed every few years. All marble is fragile and extreme care should be taken when the marble is moved. Marble is a natural, porous product and is therefore susceptible to staining. Any liquids (including water) that are left on the marble will be absorbed into the stone and leave a stain. Any spills (including food) should be cleaned straight away. Always use coasters and placemats to avoid leaving stains and ring marks. If marble becomes stained, contact a professional marble restoration and refinishing service. Do not chop food directly onto marble as it will scratch the surface. Likewise, do not drag objects across the surface. To clean marble, use a clean, soft cloth for best results. Only use approved natural stone cleaning product. We recommend that customers use Guardsman or other approved products to seal and protect marble. Marble should be sealed every few years. Note: that sealing the marble will only provide a buffer of protection. It will not provide absolute protection and even sealed stone will stain if liquids are left on their surface for too long. Do out use abrasive cleaning tools or products Do not use regular household cleaning products as they may contain silicon, lemon, vinegar, or other acids

Lounge Care
Like any furniture product, your new lounge will require care to ensure it remains comfortable and looking beautiful for years to come. Over the first few months of use, you may notice the polyurethane seat foam start to soften – this is normal and should eventually stabilise. Every lounge will wear differently, depending on its intended use. See below information on how to care generally for your lounge: DO’s Ensure to rotate/reverse/flip any seating cushions (if applicable) to ensure even wear of the cushions. If this is not done, the foam will likely pool or drop sooner than intended and result in reduced comfort. Use fabric or leather protection to ensure any spills are easier to clean Use appropriate cleaning products to keep your lounge looking fresh and tidy DON’Ts Avoid placing your lounge in direct sunlight as this will cause fabrics or leathers to wear & fade Do not machine wash your covers at home. Always use a professional cleaning service Do not pull loose threads – always cut them Do not allow pets or sharp objects near your lounge Do not sit or rest on the arms of a chair or lounge – they are not designed to support excessive weight Important Notes for Recliners Just like any mechanism or moving part, recliner mechanisms aresusceptible to wear and tear. Try to avoid excessive use or ‘rough’manoeuvres. When extended, leg rests are not designed to support excessive weight.Try to keep weight evenly distributed, to avoid bending or warping overtime. Do not allow children to play on motion sofas and armchairs. Before using any of the mechanisms ensure the person using the chairis correctly seated. Precautions should be taken by people with lumbarmedical conditions and/or pregnant women. Recliner mechanisms are covered by a 3-year warranty on the structure.This excludes moving parts, such as handles, triggers and hinges; allcovered by a 1-year warranty (unless stated otherwise). Feather Cushion Care Information Plump the feather cushions for longevity, to keep the sofa looking full and to create consistency in comfort. There are several ways to achieve this, though one method that works well is simply dropping the cushions on the floor, face side up. This will put air back into the feathers, get them moving and create a full look. Throughout the cushion’s lifetime, it is common to experience featherscoming out of the cushions. This is completely normal and can be rectified with regular vacuuming.

How to Choose the Perfect Dining Table For Your Space
Our stylist Cindy examines the 3 most important things to consider when choosing a dining table. A dining table is one of the most fundamental pieces of furniture you will have in your home, not only is it a place to sit and eat, but also a place to entertain and make wonderful memories. Size, shape and style are the three important decisions you will need to make to create this functional area. Size Generally, when determining the size of the dining table you require, the rule of thumb is to allow 90-100cm of clearance on each side of the table. This amount of space allows you to pull out a chair from the table and also be able to walk behind when people are seated at the table. RULE OF THUMB: Allow 90-100cm clearance on each side of your table When looking at spacing around the table don’t forget to consider other furniture pieces in the room, such as a buffet or dresser, as then you will need to measure from this point. A practical way to figure it all out is to create an outline of your table by using a measuring tape, or masking tape, or even some books, from there, it will give you a much better idea of what will work best in the space you have in the room. Another practical idea is an extension table as this gives you the option to extend your space when entertaining. Square, Round or Oval shapes are best for smaller spaces as they take up less space and are easier to walk around. A square table looks great in a square room and round, or oval tables are best for small rooms as this shape still provides a good surface area to place food and all three shapes bring people closer together, so it is great for conversation and ideal for parties, and card nights. Whether it’s the Contemporary, Hamptons or a Country look you’re going for, we have a dining table to suit every interior design style. For a contemporary style home, you may wish to choose a natural timber top and metal legs for a slim line look, for a Hamptons home you may prefer a white or whitewash and sculptured legs and for something a little more country the refectory leg may just be you. A coffee table is more than a place to put your cup of coffee, it's the centre of the room and often the centre of conversation. Its easy for a coffee table to become full and cluttered with whatever was in your hand due to convenience but this can have a flow on effect to the rest of your living space making it feel busy. Lets talk about how to properly style your coffee table to make the best out of the space and give your living room the lift it deserves. 1. Start by using a tray to use as a layering tool. If a tray is unavailable you can use a cutting board, a low basket or wire frame. Really anything that other items can be placed in but still seen. This adds structure to your design and allows you to make additions without them looking out of place.Shop Provence Coffee Table 2. Place a vase with flowers or potted plant on the tray. Adding grenery brings life into your setting. Sometimes this can be done outside of a tray but this can become messy and needs frequent manicuring. Shop Grange Coffee Table 3.
