Product care & warranty info

Timber is a natural product. Like skin, it needs care to stay healthy and to avoid drying out and cracking.

Natural variation

As timber is a natural product it varies from piece to piece. We try to capture the exact tone in our photography, but cannot guarantee an exact match — some pieces may be darker or lighter, within reason and tolerance.

Not for outdoor use

Most timber does not fare well exposed to the elements. Leaving timber furniture outdoors, even undercover, will void your warranty. Ask our staff about our range made for undercover patios.

Polishing and waxing

Timber must be polished and/or waxed to stay healthy. Apply a fine, light, silicone-free furniture oil and polish in the direction of the grain, following the instructions on the label. Never use a polish containing silicone — it will quickly destroy the lacquer. Furniture wax is especially helpful for recycled timber and should be applied every 3 to 6 months.

Spills and surfaces

Avoid leaving wet cloths or glasses on lacquered surfaces — they break down the lacquer.
Remove spills immediately with a slightly damp cloth.
Beware porous objects such as pottery vases standing for long periods — water can seep through unnoticed.
Timber surfaces are not heat proof. Use heat-resistant coasters and placemats.
Some hand-thrown ceramic mugs have a base like sandpaper — use a coaster.

Light, humidity and flooring

Timber is light sensitive. Keep out of direct sunlight and do not leave decorative items in place for weeks. Open extension tables periodically so the leaf gets regular light.
Timber is sensitive to humidity. Do not place directly under heating or air-conditioning ducts, or near open fires.
Timber is rich in natural oils and can rarely mark flooring — if in doubt, place a barrier underneath.

On Order: This product is currently being manufactured overseas or is in transit to Australia. An estimated arrival date is shown where available.

In Store Only: This product is only available to purchase in our showrooms. Check the Showroom Availability section on the product page or contact our Customer Care team for assistance.

Do you deliver Australia-wide, and when will my order arrive?

Most of our products are held in our Brisbane Warehouse, and we do our best to deliver to metro and regional areas across Australia. Use our delivery estimator on the product page or during checkout to confirm availability and delivery options for your location.

Some areas, including Western Australia, Northern Territory, South Australia and Tasmania, may be outside our standard delivery network. In these cases, you may need to arrange your own transport. We can also assist by transferring stock to one of our store locations where possible.

For in-stock items, orders are typically dispatched within 1–3 weeks depending on your location. For items on order or online-only products, dispatch will occur 1–3 weeks after the item arrives at our Brisbane Warehouse. Additional transfer times may apply depending on your location.
